Memories Blessed by God

Remember, a marriage is never perfect, 

For both are humanly different, mentally and physically,

Each with views, feelings, and emotions that enhance and reinforce these differences.

By God's wisdom and knowledge, seeing and knowing the ending before the beginning,

He said, "it is not good for man to be alone,"

And created He woman, out of man, as a helpmate,

For both to cleave to one another and to live as one. 

The memories of a marriage blessed by God,

They are memories that can never be forgotten,

No matter how hard one tries daily to dismiss and bury them.

When by death's separation one is left behind,

With memories, that reappear from time to time, 

And touch the heart again with their love to remind of them.

Many different occurrences, feelings, or things, 

In life's separation, can bring into view the memories again of them,

From the smallest simplest things of life enjoyed together, 

To the most complex problems of life faced together,

And all the things in between, that built and wrapped their lives in oneness as shared.

All now memories of them,

When both held hands, from beginning to end, 

In that certain way with words unspoken, 

That reassured their love for each other to the other,

The warmth of words of kindness, to build the other, 

That brought comfort to a hurting heart, 

Upon the departure of a loved one, 

And the feelings of love's loss within, that draw them closer for that day,

That lies ahead for them to face missing the other.

God's love within, tells their heart within, you have nothing to fear, 

You know within then, as you pray they will always stay near, 

Tomorrow as today, 

That not one memory of all the yesterdays,

Will ever be forgotten, no matter how hard one daily tries to dismiss and bury.

Memories such as these are a testimony to love's power, 

And represents a marriage, 

That is more than just a friendship built of togetherness between them. 

It is one that has truly been blessed by God,

And has been built upon and wrapped within God's Word of Love, 

That is forever true and faithful,

For by His Grace, He gives His love freely to all, whom by Name that are Called a Child of His, 

For they believe in and follow as their Lord and Savior,

Jesus Christ as one within Him.

No matter the circumstances of a life faced,

As long as you have each other,

Even now, if just a memory,

That brings together as one in love for the other to remember,

Memories, built between one another, they will always live within,

Wrapped in your love for one another, 

For they are memories of a marriage blessed by God,

No matter how hard one tries to dismiss and bury them,

Memories, such as these, can never be forgotten.

Lord, build me daily, to keep my marriage true and faithful 

And build memories within to keep near and dear,
