Lord upon Calvary's Cross

Lord upon Calvary's Cross, 

You seen, felt, and paid for all my sins, 

You willingly gave all for me, 

To cover me and change the path of life forever I had walked. 

Built by the selfish unfaithful deeds I did and words I talked, 

That expressed uncaring and thoughtless thoughts. 

That did everything to destroy and remove 

All thoughts of You from my heart,

That looked ahead 

And seen nothing but self and the pleasures of life,

In a world lost to sin for the wealth of self. 

Now because of that Day 

And the price in love for me You paid. 

I believed and received, 

By acceptance and repentance, 

Blessed by God's Loving Grace,

That Day now and forever my heart You walk. 

Your Holy Words of Old, 

Daily I bring within to change me 

With the Holy Spirit's guidance 

Tomorrow to build, 

And keep by His touch You Lord in all my thoughts 

To guide my walk and talk, 

For that day in time 

The Gates of Heaven open 

And I enter in never to part. 

Until then build my heart, 

For I belong to You.
