Self

Self 

Self, is the strongest and the only enemy that life faces, 

That destroys from the inside out. 

It starts by slowly changing the view and purpose of God's Creation of Life itself,

By tearing at the very foundation of Character and Integrity of God Himself,

Slowly replacing the Hopes from the past, 

And the Dreams for tomorrow with the selfish want of life for today. 

Self never has needs, it only has wants, 

And it never gives it only takes, 

With a thirst of hoarding that never stops. 

Life is never selfless until it dies to self, 

Sees and receives the purpose of the empty Cross of Christ. 

Completely destroying 

And removing self from it wants. 

Selfless returns to the world, 

The Light of Togetherness that Shines from that Cross, 

The Cross of Calvary,

His words, "I love and care for you." 

Selfless, life’s strongest Self. 

Lord, make and keep me Selfless,
