America, in this Country

America, in this Country,

Did I miss something over the years of life? 

I thought America, was built upon the mutual respect of all others, 

And the basic belief of a higher power that created all. 

If I remember right, our forefathers ran from the State Religions of the Old World, 

To the New World to have the Freedom of Choice to follow their Religion of Choice, 

That by this, all have the freedom to choose a religion of their choice, 

And that no one religion could become a National religion, 

In control of all other religions 

And by this take control of the Government created for and by the people. 

Isn't this free will! 

Freedom! 

In my words, did not the Lord say? 

"Go forth to the ends of the earth 

And tell all of what you have seen, heard, and know, 

So that all others will hear and know, 

And now knowing they can make a choice, by their free will, to follow Me or not." 

Free will, Freedom! 

Basic respect for the beliefs of others! 

If you don't have basic respect for another’s belief, 

You have lost them before you could ever tell them about the Lord. 

The basic respect for the foundation of the moral principles, 

Another has built their life upon. 

A moral life is built upon moral principles, 

And it is sad to say; many will never build such a life. 

A moral life is built upon, either the moral principles of God, 

Through Faith's Belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 

Or upon the branch of philosophy, ethics, 

That encompasses the analysis and proposition of moral principles,

For one to follow and by this conduct a just and truthful life. 

One either makes the choice to follow in Faith the Beliefs of the Creator of all Life, 

Or the other, 

To follow humanities beliefs, built upon a foundation of personal views, for life.

Lord, open me to Your Ways and teach me,
