Lord, I Love You!



Lord, I Love You! 

For You created life anew that day 

And removed the hurts and fears of yesterday. 

To build anew the heart within with You. 

To care and give to a World in need, You. 

To build each day as I walk with You along life's way, 

For on that day Your words, "I love and care for you," 

Lord, and You knowing the sins of loneliness that lived therein, 

You reached out and touched my heart, and I received and accepted You. 

You an atonement for me yesterday on the Cross of Calvary, 

That allows me to live complete in You today, 

Knowing within tomorrow awaits, You for me at God's Table of Grace. 

You alone cleansed and changed the me in me to see anew in You. 

By taking and cleansing the sins of me by You, 

That I had hidden deep from sight, 

Until Your light of love reached and removed them from the dark within. 

Your touch changed what is allowed to reach the heart then, 

That I will forever see You within. 

That now allows the reflection of You to appear and change another’s way today,

For You removed the view of me from my eyes that day, 

And replaced it with the view of me walking beside You today. 

That allows Your Love to flow from within, and controls now what enters in. 

Removing the hurt of the words that closed the ears, 

Now open to receive and hear again Your Words of Love to keep You near. 

And by those words of caring and love, 

The hands now loosened and free from the bondage of sin to give, 

Now reach out to bring hope and caring again to others from within, 

And wipe away each tear built of hurts and fears, from those suffering deep despair. 

The heart now lives again within, even when the way becomes unclear, 

And life stumbles for me along the way from day to day, 

Your Love and Compassion carries me to guide again the way. 

To complete life's walk beside You each day. 

The Cross for me, in love, You carried that day, 

That now allows my walk beside You today. 

The Light of Love from You now guides the way, 

The Love that lights and brightens my each and every day, 

Lord, I love You!

Lord, looking back I knowing, You either walked beside to teach and guide me 

Or You carried me to keep from harm within Your loving arms. 

Looking ahead You walk beside, 

For Your Light of Love forever shines within my heart to show the way, 

And keeps me beside You until tomorrow's day. 

For I knowing my Chair, You Lord, The Master Carpenter, 

Finished, placed, and it now awaits at God's Table of Grace.
