Marriage and God
Always, make God the center of your marriage.
As Adam and Eve knew each other, know your spouse.
Always, always make time to talk, touch, and pray together.
Always be of one accord on all family decisions, financial or personal.
Do not let the sun set on the anger or hurt of a decision or indecision.
All have eyes that wonder from time to time,
And a heart within that will face problems that hurt in life.
During times of great marriage distress seek advice together,
By first bringing all before the Lord in prayer
Allowing Him to intercede to bring and guide your thoughts together as one with Him.
Never alone, seek out the friendship and advice from another of opposite gender,
For this will only open the road to unfaithfulness.
If an act of transgression of unfaithfulness has happened in the marriage,
Take the responsibility for your actions of the past,
Remember, Adam blamed Eve and then she blamed the serpent.
It is not about what your spouse or you did,
It is about the response that is given,
When responsibility has to be taken for those unfaithful actions,
Call sin, sin,
Fix blame where you know blame is, always within.
Then in prayer in humbleness before God and your spouse,
Confess the sin, allowing the Lord to reconcile the heart within,
And restore marriage harmony therein through true repentance from within.
Then rebuilding the relationship under God's guidance and Word,
Always, make God the center of your marriage.
Lord, guide my thoughts from within, and Light the path I walk in life, for I want to follow You,
