Respect

Respect 

One cannot build either the hope for tomorrow 

Or the love in trust today, 

Through the humiliation 

Or disrespect of another yesterday. 

Trust, is built upon the core value of respect, 

It grows through faith and is strengthen in belief. 

With the love that comes from the knowledge 

Of knowing, the other respects you, 

Just like, you respect them in love from within. 

The Lord, at Calvary, not only paid the price 

For the sins of all,

He also took upon Himself, 

The humiliation and disrespect 

Wrapped within the sin that belonged to you and me,

As He hung upon the Cross of Calvary that day before the World, 

He covered all that Believe through Faith and made complete in Him that day.

Lord, the Cross-was the World's symbol of shame that day, 

Your blood in Love covered and purified it, to Light the Way, 

And me to walk complete in You today,
