Child of God

Child of God, 

If you feel something is missing within

Or no one cares at all for you. 

First, turn from the world, 

And then bring back those days 

Into your memory again 

When you walked in love's enthusiasm beside the Lord

And renew that love within stronger in Him. 

Build anew to renew that Love between God and you, 

And then daily in prayer with Him 

Trust the integrity of God's Word and walk beside Christ. 

Daily by words and deeds, 

Allow the Holy Spirit within to grow strong and intense 

And rekindle that love within whole and complete again 

To daily brighten another’s life with the Light of Christ. 

Knowing always within then, 

God's Love has not and will never be withdrawn by Him, 

For His loving grace for all goes beyond never ending. 

Know by the Love Christ gave that day upon the Cross of Calvary, 

For all, even you and me, 

That it enwraps all within Him by the faith of acceptance’s belief 

And transcends times ending,

For by His word it goes beyond never ending. 

Build from within to without in Him, 

For by God’s Grace, 

Christ, the Good Shepherd, will always be there beside you 

To keep the path of life straight, 

When you follow and love God more than yourself or anything else, even life itself. 

Lord, keep my eyes upon You and my heart filled with nothing 

But the Love for God and all of God's Creation,
