Memories of the Past

Memories of the Past 

Living daily, in past memories in the present, 

Without Christ will destroy the future,

The eternity, that awaits, 

Of truth and love with and serving Him faithfully without question or doubt. 

Memories of the past created by one's free will of choices made,

They are remembered for they are either good or bad, 

The ones in between, 

Echo the circles of life that touch from within to without and bind together all life. 

The good are wrapped in Caring and Kindness 

And build His Grace and Love that lasts forever. 

They keep the Ray of Light of Hope alive to build the heart in faith that gives. 

To create a life that sees tomorrow, 

As written in completion in His Word, to be one in faith in Him. 

The bad are covered in Hurt and if left alone 

They create sorrow and bring loneliness within the dark. 

That builds to destroy the happiness of the past and tomorrow's day

 And slowly removes His Light that leads today. 

The only way to change the past within is to grow daily in Him 

And His Word of forgiveness within Him. 

Growth in the present is lessons learned from the past 

Of His Love to build within the future in Him, 

For from Him comes the power to forgive, forget, and forever grow complete in Him. 

One can only truly learn the lessons of life 

When the choice is made freely within to receive and follow Him. 

God is not asking us to give up free will, 

Just make the spirit within again as given by Him. 

The process for some will take a lifetime 

And for others never, for the choice is freely made. 

Living daily in prayer for the salvation of others, 

Then He is seen living within, all memories one in Him. 

Memories of the Past 

Lord, let me not miss any part of the adventure that You have in store for me,
