Hate and Love

Hate and Love

I will never have the power 

To change one word of hate, said by another. 

However, I have His love, the Love of Christ,

To give from within, 

To light and encourage their way to Him. 

Hate is empty, 

It will never grow another or remove their hurt of yesterday. 

It can only destroy and tear apart, 

For it is dark and void of the Light that illuminates to guide their Way today. 

His Love can remove the hurt of yesterday, and build anew to follow complete in Him. 

For it comes from the very heart of God, 

His Word of protective caring Love, 

To Light and Lead the Way to Christ today.

Lord, I thank You for eyes that see and a heart that cares,
